We are excited to announce the ShineOnCass Foundation will build an outdoor reading space this summer for the Oakland Public Library! Supported by SAPPI and Waterville Area Women's Club and Somerset Stone & Stove, the space will include new landscaping, a portable reading chair, kindness books for children who attend the summer reading program, and a new "Little Lending Library" in downtown Oakland where families can borrow books all year long. This is how we Shine! https://www.centralmaine.com/2019/06/12/local-foundation-to-build-outdoor-reading-space-at-oakland-public-library/?fbclid=IwAR0Zmy9LHFavWfcKpXYg6X1lulIphpuFwsOO_rasfT4rXhYfyRXSdXvgsQ4
Presque Isle, ME: It was a ShineOnCass Christmas Day at the Presque Isle Elks Club's 14th Annual Christmas Dinner Dec. 25, 2018. Thanks to all our friends and family who came out to honor Cass by giving back in our family's hometown community. #ShineOnCass
Inspired by Cass, talented students from the Mid-Maine Technical Center created a video as their project on "student led initiatives."
Co-producers, Roslin Desiderio and Molly Milligan, received the
"Good Citizenship Video Award" at the Maine International Film Festival!
