Over 500 players take to Thomas College turf fields every summer for the much-anticipated Annual “Kick for Cass” 11-hour continuous soccer game. Playing 11 hours of Cassidy's favorite sport was created to honor her high school jersey (#11) while she was a game-changing midfielder for the Messalonskee Eagles. Proceeds from Kick For Cass fund youth soccer scholarships through the ShineOnCass Foundation. Join us and continue the light and legacy of Cass! #ShineOnCass
2024 Kick for Cass Is In the Books!
What an AMAZING DAY to Shine Cassidy's Light! With 18 high school teams from the around the state, and 13 different community teams coming out, we filled 11 hours with soccer for Cass in 2024!
It was our biggest event ever, with hundreds of volunteers, spectators, food concessions, volunteer athletic trainers and referees--together we raised over $11,000! Proceeds support our annual Central Maine United Soccer ShineOnCass Scholarship. We love giving young players the same opportunities Cass had to play at the premier level and make lifelong friends. #ShineOnCass

In lieu of our 11-hour game during the height of the pandemic, in 2020 and 2021, we honored Cassidy’s passion for kindness and service with a month-long Kick Back 4 Cass Challenge!
