Hart-to-Hart Farm & Education Center and the ShineOnCass Foundation organize an annual ShineOnCass Animal Baby Shower at the Albion farm--open and free to the community!
Hundreds of children have visited the farm each spring to welcome newborn farm animals and learn about the workings of a real farm! Events have included animal petting, egg hunts, face painting, crafts, games, and photos with the babies! Watch a video clip of one of our past egg hunts!
Each year we collect pet items to donate in Cassidy’s memory to Humane Society Waterville Area, where Cass was a devoted volunteer.
Hart-to-Hart Farm is a family-owned and operated organic dairy farm that offers a variety of educational programs for children, adults and families. Cassidy was a long-time summer camper there (7 years!) In 2015, farm owners Linda and Doug Hartkopf and the community helped build Cassidy’s Kitchen -- an outdoor, three-season kitchen for children and adults attending educational programs.

CANCELED EVENT NOTICE!
With great disappointment, the ShineOnCass Animal Baby Shower & PJ Party planned for May 5th has been canceled.
Our friends at Hart-to-Hart Farm & Education Center are working tirelessly to rebuild after the devastating windstorm that destroyed their barns and displaced all their dairy cows. The cleanup has taken longer than they anticipated. While they had great hope to have the property ready for our event, weather and other factors have delayed work in removing the debris.
In the interest of safety for all attending a large event such as ours, and to allow the Hartkopfs time to finish the work of rebuilding the farm so that their cows can come back home soon, we unfortunately must cancel this year’s Animal Baby Shower & PJ Party. We continue to make joyfulness and safety top priorities at this event and will return next year to welcome the new babies in Spring 2025!
Donations of pet food and other items (shower gifts) in memory of Cassidy will still be gratefully accepted at Humane Society Waterville Area. Here's a list of urgent need items:
-Blankets/Towels/Linens
-Purina One dry dog food
-Purina Cat Naturals dry food
-Any wet cat food
-Stamps
-Cedar Litter Pellets
-Laundry Detergent
-Dog Treats
-Hard Chew dog toys
-Cat scratchers
