for Aspiring Young Violinists
Cassidy was a young, passionate violinist and a dedicated student of Pineland Suzuki School, where she had the great pleasure of learning to play and perform under the direction of her beloved teacher, Lori Scheck. It is in her memory and honor, that the ShineOnCass Foundation is pleased to give young violin students the same opportunity afforded Cassidy, through the annual ShineOnCass Aspiring Young Violinist Scholarship.

Congratulations to Josie and Louise Merwin!
Josie and Louise are enthusiastic violin students studying under the amazing instruction of Lori Scheck. Both Josie and Louise bring energy and joy to their lessons and group classes. While Josie is just getting started, she aspires to follow in her big sister's footsteps! Louise is dedicated to her musical and personal goals, earning money for a trip to Japan to study her musical talent. We are honored to provide support to both young violin students and look forward to following their future with Pineland Suzuki. Shine On!

It means the world to me to have been awarded this scholarship. I love to play the violin and only want to continue to improve with the instrument. Having this scholarship allows me to continue to improve like I want with extra lessons my mom could not afford otherwise. I am hoping to go far with the violin. I just love it so much. |

I am so honored to receive a merit scholarship. My goal for when I grow up is to be like Cassidy. She was a wonderful soul and she is one of the greatest role-models that I could have. With my violin I plan to follow music throughout my life, and again it is such an honor. I was thrilled when I found out. |
