Cassidy attended Mount Merici Academy, a private Ursuline Catholic School in Waterville, Maine, from Pre-K through Grade 6, where she embodied the Ursuline Tradition of service to others. She excelled academically and was a leader by example among her peers. In her honor, a new service program, called “Cassidy Kids” was established. Beginning with the graduating 8th Grade Class of 2016, and every year thereafter, students choose an independent, year-long service project that exemplifies Cassidy’s spirit of kindness and service to others. Projects have ranged from teaching music lessons to children, visiting nursing home residents, writing letters to veterans and helping a neighbor with daily chores. The projects are as unique as each individual student who shares his and her talents to help make the world a better place. One person at a time. Just like Cass.
